FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT, FOOSIM'2018, April 8-12, 2018, Catholic University Louvain, Ghent, Belgium

Dear Colleague,

I have the pleasure to announce that the location
of 10th biennial FOODSIM'2018 will again be the
University of Louvain research centre in Ghent, Belgium.
Dates for the event are April 8-12, 2018.

The event will also again be co-located with the
13th International Trends in Brewing Symposium.

The themes for the event will be the following:
- Modeling and Simulation in Sustainable Food Systems Engineering
- Modeling and Simulation in Quantitative Risk Assessment
- Modeling and Simulation in Food Safety and Spoilage
- Modeling and Simulation in Innovative Food Production and Processing Technologies
- Modeling and Simulation in Food Chains
- Modeling and Simulation in Life Cycle Assessment
- Modeling and Simulation in Climate Change and Environmental Impact
- Modeling and Simulation in Food Business and Economics
- Modeling and Simulation in Precision Agriculture and Robotics
- Modeling and Simulation in Food Process Systems Engineering
- Multi-scale Modeling Methods
- Multi-objective Optimization Methods
- Advanced Software Tools

If you are interested in being an ipc for one of the themes
or if you wish to organize a specialized track, give a tutorial,
give an invited talk or exhibit at the event just tick the boxes below.
Those of you who are already involved in previous editions of course stay in their
position. Replies should be returned to me by OCTOBER 15TH

We are sending out this first announcement as we are busy rebuilding our website
using a new software environment and FOODSIM will be the first event in this
context. If all goes well, the website will be online mid October. At that time
a first call for papers will be sent out.
