Driving Game Simulation
Jim Parker, University of Calgary, Calgary, Canada

Jim Parker is head of the University of Calgary Digital Media Laboratory  Affiliated with the Faculty of Kinesiology and the Computer Science Department. Also linked with the Division of Educational Technology and the Faculty of Environmental Design. It Includes: the Laboratory for Computer Vision and the Computer Science Education Research Group  Formerly the Laboratory for Computer Vision, the Digital Media Laboratory studies advanced methods for creating, manipulating, displaying, and measuring the effects of digital media of all kinds

He is a specialist in computer perception (vision, hearing) for intelligent interfaces, and has as his special interest the use of perceptive interfaces in interactive video games, especially for teaching.

He has been nominated a finalist for a Canadian New Media Award, a second consecutive time

His latest book is called "Start Your Engines  Developing Driving and Racing Games"
